Brandon Sheppard places second in FALS Frenzy

Behind the wheel of his family-owned No. B5 Rocket Chassis Late Model, Brandon Sheppard was one of 42 Late Models on hand at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday evening for the rain-shortened FALS Frenzy. With a heat race victory lining him up second on the starting grid for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Brandon paced the field for the first three circuits but went on to place second in the 50-lapper. He trailed Frank Heckenast Jr. to the checkers with Gordy Gundaker, Ryan Unzicker, and Tanner English rounding out the Top-5. (Ryan Roberts photo)
