Runner-up finish in Billy Winn Classic at Bedford Speedway
Brandon Sheppard was back in action on Monday afternoon with a short trip to Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway for the rescheduled Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.
With Ricky Thornton Jr. joining him as a teammate for the evening, Sheppard topped his time trial group before placing first in his heat. Chasing the $20,000 top prize in the feature, Brandon rolled to a solid second-place finish.
For the rescheduled Billy Winn Classic on Thursday at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway, Brandon posted third consecutive runner-up finish in the 45-lap feature. He joined Bobby Pierce and Ryan Gustin on the podium.
Following the World of Outlaws to Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) on Friday for the Battle at the Border opener, Sheppard turned in a sixth-place finish in the A-Main after going fourth-to-second in his heat.
The tripleheader WoO weekend concluded on Saturday for BShep with a runner-up finish in the $15,000-to-win Battle at the Border finale. He led laps 3-27 before ultimately crossing the line in second.
Brandon holds a 52-point lead atop the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
