Sheppard finishes fourth in Bayou Classic at Boothill Speedway
The World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series brought Brandon Sheppard to Texas and Louisiana over the weekend for a pair of inaugural events.
For the Bayou Classic on Friday at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.), Sheppard outran Kyle Bronson in his heat to pick up the eight-lap victory. With a $15,000 payday up for grabs in the feature, Brandon rolled to a fourth-place finish in the 50-lap affair. He chased Ryan Gustin, Bobby Pierce, and Dustin Sorensen to the checkers with Cade Dillard finishing fifth.
In a slower start on Saturday at Rocket Raceway Park (Petty, Texas), Brandon squeezed into the $15,000-to-win Texas Torpedo 50 A-Main with the final transfer spot in his B-Main. Charging from the 11th row, Sheppard advanced forward 11 spots in the 50-lapper to register a 10th-place finish.
Sheppard holds a 44-point margin atop the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
